Every year, United Way’s Week of Caring connects hundreds of corporate volunteers to community organizations across the Bay Area.

The 20th annual Week of Caring was a tremendous success. More than 8,000 employees from all across the Bay Area took place in the largest annual corporate volunteer event in the Bay Area and the country.

In all, more than sixty companies took place and completed almost 700 projects at local nonprofits. Local nonprofits couldn’t be more appreciative of the effort. Without Week of Caring many projects wouldn’t get done.

Special thanks to our Week of Caring presenting sponsor Chevron, as well as our Gold level sponsor, Wells Fargo and our Silver level sponsor, Bank of the West. Their employees turned out in droves to support our community:

* 3,500 Wells Fargo team members participated
* 2,200 Chevron employees lent a hand
* 220 Bank of the West employees pitched in
